Diana: My graphic design dude Joel and I collaborated on this truly one of a kind, homemade, no AI, fully legit, gothic, quirky Victorian memento mori inspired birthday card featuring Franklin Von Bonenstein for you. I sell these in person at events, or if you are interested in wholesale purchase or licensing of this card, contact me here. Hey Joel, tell them how we made these cards.
Joel: Franklin began life, or perhaps death, as a boring old Halloween skeleton which we modded with custom 3D printed hands and head and a deathly new paint job. For the background, Diana and I headed over to a local graveyard and took pictures of a section that’s over 100 years old. We drew a face on Franklins balloon and printed out a tiny party hat on card stock. The flowers on the front came from a magazine that’s over 100 years old. Jaxon Richardson made the drawing of the Cherbs, and we collaged all of the elements together to bring you this epic card!
Mr. Cool: Diana! How dare you and your team take our work and claim it as your own! That’s piracy, plagiarism, and theft!
Razz: That’s ours and our money! A thousand plagues be on your head!
Sledge: You are taking credit for our hard work, and we’re going to be financially ruined!
Friar: This is too much emotional distress!
Dagon: Number one: not any of you put any of this together. The only thing you guys did was cut out parts from magazines which you stole, I mean found, oops, I mean picked up somewhere. Number two: you four invested negligible amounts of time and absolutely no money in this endeavor.
Mr. Cool: We’re the brains behind all of this. Do you know how much time it took us to think up all this, to explain the nuts and bolts and the minutiae of our ideas to Mary?
Razz: We provided the layouts, now where’s our payout? No need for a blowout! We definitely don’t want a fall out.
Dagon: Whoa whoa whoa…you laid a few magazine clippings and words in front of Mary and kept coming back and pestering her over and over until she made and remade it just how you wanted.
Sledge: Why are we squabbling over these little things when clearly the world has so many problems? Does it really matter who did what, how they did it, why they did it, where they did it? I say no! All we want is to get paid!
Friar: This is way way too much emotional distress!
Diana: Hey there reader, thanks for putting up with these guys, I can’t get rid of them! Follow the antics of Dagon and the Dudes in my debut novel Abyss of the Fallen and again in the upcoming book 2. The making of this card takes place in book 2. Get your copy on Abyss of the Fallen today!
